Fitting tool

This form allows the fitting of SEDs and photometry to models within our grids. On submission, fitting jobs can be tracked in the job status page (linked in the sidebar).

Notes & Instructions

  • For entered fluxes or magnitudes, either self-defined or using the available filter sets, a preceding "<" is used to denote upper limits. These are handled differently in terms of the fitting statistic, detailed in Mayne et al. (2010). "<" is still used for magnitudes as they are converted to fluxes when plotted.
  • Try to select a reasonable parameter space for fitting as memory usage will scale linearly with the number of models. The time taken for the fit to complete will increase significantly once the server memory (16 GB) is full. Additionally, if you do not refine the fitting space your results are likely to be meaningless.
  • Input SEDs should be X,Y ascii files (X=wavelength, Y=Flux) (preferably space separated). Header lines can be denoted by a preceding "#".
